Platja d'Aro is, with Castell d'Aro and S'Agaró, part of the municipality of Castell-Platja d'Aro. Is located in the heart of Costa Brava, and it has more than two kilometres of beach and a group of little coves that complement its landscape. This natural environment is excellent to practise nautical sports, hiking and BTT.
The town also gives us an important cultural and architectonic offer, with areas like Roman village of Pla de Palol or the historical city centre of Castell d'Aro, declared Bien Cultural de Interés Nacional.
